Why doesn’t anyone care about obtaining dental or health benefits? Should I give up trying to market them?
I work independently with a great company that offers benefits at an affordable price. I chose this company because I felt great about helping people Save on Health Care. Health care costs are ridiculous! However it seems that nobody cares about obtaining benefits at all. I know people tend to spend their money on things that they want and not things that they need. However there has to be someone out there that needs braces, or an eye exam, or a physical checkup…right? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I actually work in the Health &Human Services field in the State of Texas. I audit cases for individuals who are requesting Children’s Health Insurance or Medicaid. Thousands of those cases are denied as a result of exceeding income or resource limits. Most of the recipients who are denied do contact our call centers and ask what their other options are for obtaining Health and Dental insurance for thier families. I am quite shocked that people are not interested in what you are offering. Heck, my masseue just asked me if I knew of any places that sold Health Insurance.
I wouldn’t give up just yet if I were you. Maybe you need to get in contact with the Welfare offices in your area and ask them if you can post a flyer in their office that will direct people who are denied for medical insurance to you.
With the way the economy is I think most Americans are worrying about gas in their cars and food in their kids mouths.
If you were trying to sell it to me, I would need to hear that if an emergency happened, the bills could be astronomical, and ruin my credit if I didn’t pay versus what you are offering. Also, alot of companies offer healthcare, and often people find other ways of coping like walk in clinics, student clinics, etc. to avoid paying top dollar.

Sweetie, we care, I do, but who can afford it these days, and the coverage is so lousy for the money being spent?
When the gov’t steps in and says enough is enough, then maybe you will get more customers, but that is not going to happen, at least not in my lifetime. Good Luck!

Personally, i don’t trust insurance salespeople…no offense. Also, I am BROKE! All my money is going to gas. I do care about health/dental benefits, but find it hard to believe that I can afford them.

Because most dental plans do not cover real dental work, or cover very little. As far as health care goes, if your policy is cheap, more than likely the deductibles are outrageous.
