If the Obama administration gets their way with health care reform: How much money will you save per month?

What makes you think you will save anything?
Where do you think the 1 trillion is going to come from to pay for it?
I think that without a public option and with little in the way of cost controls, there will be little or nothing in short-term savings. Longer term the extension of coverage to all will have beneficial economic effects but the current health care proposal does not go far enough.

Anyone that actually believes insurance will go down is a fool.
Those that are young will not buy the insurance, rather they will pay the $900 per year fine.
Since no one will be able to be refused insurance, they will simply wait until getting sick, then opt for the insurance.
That will leave those purchasing insurance to pay more to cover the ones getting it as an entitlement.

I plan on keeping the insurance that I have now. At this point, I have no idea if the premiums will be higher, lower or the same.
Taxes on those making over $200,000 are supposed to get the system started. These taxes will be collected for a few years before any one starts paying for the insurance. After that, the premiums are supposed to keep it in the black.
I am not planning on ever buying into this insurance, since I have my own.

currently right now i save very little per month, so if obama care starts i will not be able to save anything and should think about moving to another country so i can have something that resembles living.
obama is going to tax a bit and then some and then tax everything out there alot. to give ya any idea look at canada, then look at any socialist country. on the bright side, if obama care does happen, nobody will want to come to america and well run out of people to mow the lawns, pick lettuce etc… from the farms and do other labor jobs. so expect a big hike in that stuff.

With the expiration of the Bush-era tax cuts later this year, lower-income Americans will see their income taxes more than double ($30,000 income = Clinton-era tax of more than $9000/yr; Bush-era tax went down to @$4200). Add about another $2000/yr for increased health care costs. On top of premium increases.

i don’t know. all i know is prices dropped in massachusetts, they like it in hawaii, and prices are lower in every other nation that has universal health care. the only way it wouldn’t drop is if they declawed the program in an effort to appease republicans and insurance company lobbyists (aka republicans). the money will come from taxes.

So….it sounds as if you’re admitting your company will save money by dropping your company supplied insurance, forcing workers on the public dole, and having the American taxpayers foot the bill for your insurance.

According to the independent congressional budget office most will save, though a small fraction will pay up to 15% more but get a much better policy that cover pre-existing conditions, does not have life time limitations and can not be canceled because of a claim. That’s why I think that many will save…What makes you think they won’t. If you had read the bill you would know that the money would come from, and again according to the congressional budget office it will not "cost us trillions" and will, indeed, over time reduce the national deficit. Why are conservatives so ignorant of these easily found and easily understood facts? OH! I KNOW! Republican are just soooooooo stupid!

Massachusetts has the same plan and their premiums are 29% higher than any state so get ready to dig in your pockets if the thing passes, which it won’t. You mean 6 trillion over 10 years. He will just add it to the national debt for our children to pay.

We are estimating at least 480,000 dollars in savings per year, at our firm by only needing supplementary insurance.
The trillion dollars will come from the fact that we will take the 1/2 million and invest it in our business rather than paying out to some insurance firm that provides pretty bad service as it is, that thousands of other small businesses and companies would be able to do the same is where you get the bang for the buck.

mine will go up from 164 a month to 415!! i have paid into medicare for over 44 years and now i am retired and expect to finally collect in july they are talking about cutting it by a trillion dollars and make me pay for insurance for the rest of my life?? what will i get from medicare where my money went to for all those years?? it will now go to help all the illegal and people who doesn’t work!! and i will be stuck paying until i DIE!!
